I have a great family. My son-in-law set this Blog account up for me since I am not a cyber-native. I know how to turn on the computer, run programs, and surf the internet with limited success but for the most part I know very little. I say all of that to point out that I have weaknesses but I can get most things done because I have a wonderful family and great friends. I was with a good friend that had been diagnosed with inoperable cancer. He wanted me to pass along some advise. He said, “God finished the book of life for us long ago, and it has a beginning on earth and an ending. I have learned to enjoy life but secure my soul; plan for the future, but store up riches in heaven; work hard, but remember those I love and admire. Tell people how much they mean to you and use the ‘love’ word with sincerity and regularity. Eat the best foods, have a hearty laugh and cling to a wonder-filled Gospel that has the power to eternally save you.”
My friend has since gone to be with the Lord but his advise is forever true. I remember my friend with fondness, and I try to take what he suggested to heart. Jesus saves, so why not live life, to the full?
