
- They loved me unconditionally – No matter what, they never held back telling me and showing me love.
- They established a trust when I was young, that left the communication lines open, through my childhood, teens, and adult life.
- They supported me by attending every sporting activity they could attend, every band concert, every choir performance, if I was in it, they were there to support me.
- They held me accountable to what I said I was going to do. They would not let me be a quitter. They both were examples of having a good work ethic and they passed it on to me.
- They made holidays and family celebrations a really enjoyable event. They worked hard so that we could play, well.
- They were inclusive. They went out of their way to make my friends and anyone else to feel welcome in our home. Mom and Dad were Mom and Dad to many of my friends.
- They encouraged extraordinarily. They always told me that If anyone can do it, they knew I could.
- They made our home a place of laughter and joy. I had so much fun growing up. At my youthful home there was always clean fun, good food, and a friendly environment.
- They guided my decisions with good advice and Godly counsel. My mom was a dynamic believer and before my mother went to heaven, Dad received the Lord and served him faithfully until he went to his eternal reward.
- They allowed and supported me to be fully involved in my school, church, and extracurricular activities but they did not give me a free pass at home, I had chores to do.
